Program Overview

In the process of learning, students master the basic concepts and features of the structure of structural metallic, non-metallic and other types of materials, the dependence of their properties on the structure and composition; the physical essence of the phenomena occurring in materials under conditions of external influences and operation. They learn to choose the right materials for the manufacture of products for various purposes (parts of machines and devices, tools, structures); evaluate changes in the mechanical properties of materials under the influence of external influences: plastic deformation, heat treatment; have an idea of promising directions for the creation of new structural materials.
