Saint Petersburg Mining University History

Saint Petersburg Mining University was established in the year 1773. It is a public university which is situated in Saint Petersburg in Russia. It was founded as Mining School, then was named as G.V. Plekhanov Leningrad State Mining Institute and Technical University to Saint Petersburg State Mining University to National Mineral Resources University to its current name in 2016.

Saint Petersburg Mining University Programs, Courses and Schools

Saint Petersburg Mining University is organised into eight academic faculties which are further divided into various departments offering education in 97 specialists. It offers bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs. Other programs include research, student exchange and language courses.

There are more than 5000 faculties recruited in the university and more than 16,000 students are admitted. Students can also apply for vocational studies, continuing education, e-learning course, specialisation courses, short term courses and internship offers, both within and outside the country.

University library is a multimedia unit equipped with magazines, study material, subjective books, research guides, documents, periodicals and repositories. Other services include Xerox facility, study rooms, e-library, databases, help desk, training rooms, tutorials and borrowing facility.
