International Studies was established in the College of Social Sciences in 1998 with two majors - International Trade and Commerce, and Area Studies. It was promoted to a Division in 2000. To keep up with rapid globalization and informatization, the Division aims to help students equip themselves with a global mind-set, foreign language skills, and working-level competence before they join the workforce.
