Program Overview

The Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy aims to prepare students for a professional future in this field by helping them acquire both the scientific foundations of the profession and the ethical standards needed to serve the public. Speech Therapy is focused on the assessment, diagnostic and treatment of disorders related to speech, voice and non-verbal oral functions such as swallowing, as well as oral and written languages and other forms of communication in children and adults. The functions of a speech therapist include the planning and carrying out of preventive interventions with the aim to reduce the incidence of these disorders and improve verbal and communication skills in healthy people.
