Statistics is the language of science in the 21st century. It is the discipline concerned with the collection, organisation, analysis, interpretation and presentation of data, as well as the establishment and verification of statistical models in all knowledge areas. Statistics uses specific mathematical and computing tools to identify and solve problems and to design, collect and transform the data with which the models will be constructed.
