4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

Autonomous University of Barcelona

Program Overview

The degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology aims to provide a solid disciplinary training based on the cross-cultural variability of sociocultural systems and the anthropological theory behind them, as well as the methods, techniques and procedures that allow to develop ethnographies in a critical manner. Today, Anthropology is essential to the study of topics related to ethnic inequalities and identities, to class, gender or age; to the cultural variation in social interactions and flows; to the correct functioning of organisations, analyses of complex manifestations of traditional and popular culture, or situation-induced changes requiring specialised actions that take into account cultural diversity.
