Program Overview

The bachelor's degree in Criminology aims to meet the demand from public and private institutions for trained professionals with scientific skills in the field of crime prevention and response, and assistance to victims, and to contribute to the creation of an emerging professional field. This degree includes subjects from the four disciplines that form the basis of criminology theory: law, psychology, sociology and teaching. Criminologists graduating from the UAB will be able to work in three areas: the prevention and management of problems related to co-existence and criminality in local and regional administration posts; criminological research at universities, police bodies and public administrations; and sentencing services in the management of offender rehabilitation and attention to victims within the judicial system.
