Program Overview

The degree in Economics in English focuses on the study of how societies make decisions on how to allocate available resources, by choosing from different alternatives, to achieve proposed objectives in aspects such as economic growth, inflation, unemployment, income distribution, discrimination, public revenue and spending, pollution, poverty, etc. The Bachelor's Degree in Economics provides students with skills in the two areas the degree is divided into: microeconomics, which examines the behaviour and decisions taken by individuals, homes and businesses when exchanging goods, as well as the interaction between governmental policies and the market; and macroeconomics, which offers a more global vision of the totality of economic activities.
