Program Overview

Study of Thai language and literature, with an emphasis on knowledge and understanding of language and literature in the context of social and cultural changes in order to develop students' competence and expertise in the Thai language, enabling them to analyze and criticize Thai language and literature, and to effectively apply the Thai knowledge to their future careers or academic circles. Graduates can pursue a variety of careers which require an expertise in the Thai language such as in the roles of instructors, writers, critics, secretary, editors, public relation officers, advertising agents, journalists, TV/radio presenters, researchers, and academics in the fields of Thai language, literature and culture.

Complete the application form; High school certificate or equivalent; English proficiency score: IELTS (Academic): Overall band 6 and above , TOEFL: IBT (Internet based-test): minimum score of 61 , CBT (Computer-based test) minimum score of 173, PBT (Paper-based test): minimum score of 500; A completed statement of purpose; Experience of overseas study or exchange programme in an English-speaking country (desirable); Work experience (optional); Certificate of awards, academic and volunteer activities, creative works, or special talents; A two-inch photograph;A copy of valid personal Identification Card or Passport ; Official Transcript (For those whose transcript is not in English; Official score report of the English Proficiency Test (TU-GET/ IELTS/ TOEFL/ SAT); A completed Statement of Purpose (350-500 words); Reference Letter (optional).
