Program Overview

Study of Japanese language skills: listening, speaking, reading and writing; and understanding of Japan in terms of language, culture and society, with an emphasis on enabling students to apply the skills in their future careers or further studies. Graduates can pursue careers in companies or organizations which deal with Japanese in the roles of interpreters, translators, tour guides, officers in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or embassies, etc. They can also work as Japanese instructors in universities, secondary and primary schools, and language schools.
