Program Overview

Study of effective communicative Russian listening, speaking, reading and writing, and study of Russian linguistics, literature and culture which have played an important role in world politics, military and economics. Russia is also advanced in science and technology, and has stable natural resources, prominent history and unique culture. Our graduates can work in the roles of interpreters, translators, tour guides in companies or organizations that deal with Russians; Russian language instructors in universities or language institutions; civil servants or staff in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, embassies, etc.

Complete the application form; High school certificate or equivalent; English proficiency score: IELTS (Academic): Overall band 6 and above , TOEFL: IBT (Internet based-test): minimum score of 61 , CBT (Computer-based test) minimum score of 173, PBT (Paper-based test): minimum score of 500; A completed statement of purpose; Experience of overseas study or exchange programme in an English-speaking country (desirable); Work experience (optional); Certificate of awards, academic and volunteer activities, creative works, or special talents; A two-inch photograph;A copy of valid personal Identification Card or Passport ; Official Transcript (For those whose transcript is not in English; Official score report of the English Proficiency Test (TU-GET/ IELTS/ TOEFL/ SAT); A completed Statement of Purpose (350-500 words); Reference Letter (optional).
