Now you step into real hospitals and begin your clinical rotations across various departments in public hospitals throughout Sharjah. These two years are integrated and intensive, requiring you to successfully complete all clinical training rotations while deepening your understanding of the health problems you studied theoretically. By the end of Year 5, you'll have hands-on experience diagnosing and treating patients, supervised by experienced physicians who'll guide your transition from student to practicing doctor.

## Admission Requirements

To apply, you'll need to have completed secondary education with specific subject requirements in Mathematics and Sciences. For the Year-based system, you'll need Mathematics and two science subjects (Chemistry, Biology, or Physics) in Grade 12 with a minimum grade of 80% or "B". English is the medium of instruction, so proficiency in the language is essential.

Additional Information & Requirements

British - Chemistry and Biology, or at least one of them, must be taken at AS-Level with a minimum grade of "A", or at A-Level with a minimum grade of "B".
IB - Must have studied Chemistry and Biology, and must have achieved a minimum grade of 5 in Higher Level Biology or Chemistry in the IB Diploma, min 35/45 points.
UAE - Grade 12- MOE –Elite Track 85%. Grade 12- MOE –Advanced Track 90%
IELTS - Overall scoreof 5.5
TOEFL - Overall score of 61
the IESOL exam is no longer accepted at the University of Sharjah. To view the list of accepted English proficiency tests.
the SAT Math test is not required for admission. However, it is mandatory for students obtaining an American high school certificate to fulfill the Ministry of Education’s equivalency requirements.
Students applying to programs taught in English (new or transfer students) must provide proof of English language proficiency. For certain majors, specific high school subject scores are considered. If a student does not meet the required score in a particular subject, they will be enrolled in a remedial course for that subject for one semester.

The applicant should not have been expelled from the UoS or any other institution for academic or disciplinary reasons
Certificates issued from outside the country must be authenticated by the official educational authority in the country of study, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the country of study, the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in that country or the embassy of the country in the UAE, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates
