University of Sharjah Background:
The University of Sharjah is a private university which was established in the year 1997 and is located in University City, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. The university was established by the ruler of Sharjah Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al-Qasimi to meet the emirate of Sharjah's aim of educational needs.

University of Sharjah Programs, Courses, and Schools:
The University of Sharjah offers 99 programs across multiple academic disciplines. Courses are offered in a variety of fields ranging from Graduate Studies & Research, Sciences, Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, Community College, Health Sciences, Law, Fine Arts & Design, Communication, Engineering, Business Administration, Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, Sharia and Islamic Studies. The university also offers a wide range of degree programs at the diploma, BSc/BA, MSc/MA, and Ph.D. levels as well as the Executive MBA (EMBA) program. All the programs of the university are accredited by the Commission for Academic Accreditation (CAA) of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the United Arab Emirates.

The University of Sharjah has three campuses located in Khorfakkan, Al-Dhaid, and Kalba. The campuses contain all modern facilities to cater to the higher educational needs of the community. The campuses are located in buildings that ‎contain a library, modern classrooms, computer labs, student lounges, recreational facilities, dormitories for female students, a state of the art auditorium and a cafeteria.‎ The university also contains 2 student centers which are designed to house dean of student affairs office, student unions offices, offices for student clubs and societies.
