Program Overview

The Fashion Management programme provides students with an opportunity to focus on management theory as well as the textiles science and technology context of the fashion industry. It addresses contemporary management concepts stemming from changing organisational structures, complex environmental conditions, new technological developments and increasingly diverse work practices. It highlights critical issues involved in both managing and being managed, including components of organisations, environment, strategy, structure, culture, tasks, people and outputs and managerial decisions in the context of the global fashion industry. Management is the effective and efficient use of resources to attain organisational goals.
