BA Hons Fashion Journalism is designed to equip students with both the skills and knowledge they need to work in and to help shape the exciting and fast-moving fashion and media industries. The course combines journalistic skills and values with core fashion knowledge. The course engages with up-to-date communication practice and technologies as well as cultural issues. 96 tariff points from A Level Passes at Grade C or above (preferred subjects include, English, a foreign language and Media Studies, a Distinction Foundation Diploma in Art and Design; Distinction, Merit, Merit at BTEC Extended Diploma (preferred subjects Art and Design); 96 tariff points from UAL Extended Diploma; Access Diploma or 112 new UCAS tariff points from the Access to HE Diploma;112 new UCAS tariff points (equivalent to 280 old UCAS tariff points) from a combination of the above qualifications or an equivalent full Level 3 qualification; or equivalent EU or non-EU qualifications such as International Baccalaureate Diploma; and five GCSE passes at grade A*-C or grade 9-4 to include English, IELTS level 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in reading, writing, listening and speaking, PTE Academic 51, Cambridge Proficiency (CPE) 169, Cambridge Advanced (CAE) 169, First Certificate (FCE) 169, Cambridge IGCSE C, Cambridge IGCSE C.
