Year 2

Modules like Food Characterisation, Nutrition Through the Lifespan, and Public Health Nutrition and Health Promotion teach you about food properties, nutritional needs across life stages, and strategies to promote healthy eating. You’ll also study Quality and Safety Management Systems to understand how to maintain high standards in food production.
Year 3
Year three focuses on putting theory into practice. You’ll complete a 60-credit work placement, gaining real industry experience. Modules like Food Processing, New Product Development, and Food and Behaviour let you explore product innovation, food production techniques, and understanding what drives consumer choices.
Year 4
In your final year, you’ll concentrate on advanced topics and independent research. The Individual Research Project allows you to explore an area of personal interest.
