3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
The Bachelor of Science program in Architectural Technology that we offer has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT), and we have recently redesigned our program to match the newest QAA Subject Benchmark Statement for Architectural Technology.
Our course curriculum covers three main themes: Presentation, Technology, and Professional Practice and Design. Each of these themes is taught over the three-year duration of the program, and includes a variety of subjects with in-depth and complex content.
During your time studying Architectural Technology at our university, you will have the opportunity to meet and collaborate with industry experts from both local and national companies through project briefings, tutorials, reviews, and presentations. This will provide you with a chance to learn both theoretical and practical skills, and to establish a professional network that may be useful for future job opportunities. Additionally, you will visit construction sites across the UK and abroad to observe projects at different stages.
This program provides many opportunities to work on real-life projects, participate in national competitions and exhibitions, and display your work in our annual degree show. Typical design projects will involve conducting site visits, conducting primary technical and contextual research, creating concept sketches, and utilizing various software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, AutoCAD, Revit, 3DsMax, Navisworks, and ArchiCAD.
