The Architecture with Urban Planning RIBA Part 2 MArch (Hons) is a two-year postgraduate course that builds upon your RIBA Part 1 qualification, integrating advanced architectural design with urban planning principles. Curriculum Structure

Year 1: Advanced Architectural Design and Urban Theory

In the first year, you'll engage in Integrated Architectural Design (AR40007), a comprehensive module that challenges you to develop complex building designs from initial brief to technical resolution. Complementing this, Urban Theory Analysis and Strategy (AR41001) will deepen your understanding of urban environments, exploring their evolution and future potential. The Architectural Humanities 4 (HT40003) module will broaden your perspective on architectural history and theory.

Year 2: Research Project and Professional Practice

The second year focuses on the MArch with UP Research Project (AR50007), a studio-based module that allows you to undertake a practice-based research project, exploring architectural ideas on a topic of your choice. This year also emphasizes professional practice, preparing you for the complexities of the architectural profession.
