Established in 1967, the University of Dundee is a public university located in Royal burgh of Dundee which is on the east coast of the central Lowlands of Scotland. The university’s main campus is within the West End of the City of Dundee which hosts the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, Dundee Law School and the Dundee Dental Hospital and School. It is ranked within the top 250 universities in the world and within the top 30 in the UK by national university rankings

The university consists of 9 schools: School of Art and Design, School of Life Sciences, School of Social Sciences, School of Dentistry, School of Medicine, School of Education and Social Work, School of Nursing and Health Sciences, School of Humanities and School of Science & Engineering. The most popular programs at Dundee are Life Sciences, Architecture, Petroleum and Mineral Law and Policy, Environmental Science, Geography, Law, Politics & International Relations, Psychology, Urban Planning, European Studies, History, Languages, Philosophy, and Engineering. The 4 year MA (Hons) degree program at the university allows the students to study a range of subjects in levels 1 and 2. A number of new 3-year Honours degree programmes are available to those meeting the relevant entry requirements. This currently includes: LLB English Law, BSc Applied Computing and Human Computer Interaction. The University of Dundee offers opportunities for students to study abroad via university exchange programmes. Dundee also offers international and EU students from other universities the opportunity to spend a semester or academic year in Dundee as visiting or exchange students.
