This 5-year BA (Hons) programme lets you spend your first four years at Wuhan University and then finish your fifth year in Dundee, giving you a truly international architecture education. Year 1-4 (Wuhan University)

Across the first four years, you’ll build foundational and intermediate knowledge in architectural design, history, theory, and technical drawing, studios, and workshops. Teachers include both staff from Wuhan University and visiting or permanent staff from University of Dundee, ensuring that from early on you are exposed to international design standards, CAD facilities, model-making, and studio culture. Year 5 (University of Dundee)

In the final year in Dundee, you will move into advanced studio work and integrated design modules (for example, AR40009: Architectural Studies Integrated Design Module) where you work on complex design projects. You’ll also study in modules like Architectural Humanities 4 (HT40003), deepening your ability to analyse architectural history, theory, and critical contemporary debates. You’ll use Dundee’s Matthew Building studios, digital tools, model workshops, and benefit from Dundee’s strong reputation in architecture.

Additional Information & Requirements

CBSE: Minimum 60% overall in the 12th Standard from CBSE or ISC or equivalent state board. Essential subjects include English (or another literary subject); a design/art & design subject is recommended; also Mathematics or Physics is desired to help with the technical aspects of architecture.
IB Diploma: A total of 30 points is sufficient, with 5,5,5 at Higher Level (includes English or a literate subject) among those HL subjects.
IELTS: For English language requirement: IELTS Academic: overall 6.0, with 6.0 in writing, 5.5 in reading, listening, speaking.
TOEFL iBT: Requirement Overall score: 78 Minimum in Writing: 17 Minimum in Listening, Reading, and Speaking: 17 in each section The test result must be less than 2 years old at the start of your course.
GCSE: For the UK qualifications, you need GCSEs (or equivalent) in certain subjects: at least a literate subject (English / or another literary subject) and one other subject outside art/design at the GCSE (or equivalent) level. Mathematics or Physics is also helpful. Grades typical: at least C or equivalent.
UCAS: The course is listed on UCAS as Architecture (K100); some data list “UCAS tariff: Not Accepted” which often means the university focuses more on actual grades rather than combining UCAS point tariffs.
