The Theatre and Performance allows you to develop work outside mainstream theatre, challenging you to re-think what you know about theatre. theatre is best understood as an umbrella term for a range of socially engaged and participatory performance practices. You could find yourself working in a range of roles in the community, education, voluntary or health sectors. We have seen our graduates collaborate with South African communities to share their stories and our students create performance-based programmes for social workers.
