The BA (Hons) Intercultural Business Communication and Marketing Management is a unique, interdisciplinary program that combines intercultural communication, business management, and marketing strategy.

  • It is the only joint honours degree in Intercultural Business Communication (IBC) and Marketing Management in the UK, offering students a chance to develop a global perspective and essential communication skills for the modern business world.
  • Aligned with the UN Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), the curriculum focuses on sustainability and ethical decision-making, preparing students to work across international markets and diverse cultural settings.
  • The course offers optional work placements or study abroad opportunities in Year 3 to enhance employability and career prospects.

Year 1: Introduction to Intercultural Business Communication, Intercultural Organisational Management, World History: International Contexts, Marketing 1, Consumer Behaviour, Academic Skills for Business Management

Year 2: Intercultural Communication for the Global Workplace, Exploring Culture, European History & Politics for the 21st Century, Market Research in Practice, Marketing Communication Tools, Social Media Marketing

Year 3: Migration, Mobilities and Intercultural Competence, International Marketing, Brand Management, Work Placement OR Study Abroad OR Live Project + Option

Year 4: Communication in International Management, Cultural Studies: Working Lives, Digital Marketing Analytics, Marketing Management in Practice, Dissertation

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Optional work placement (Year 3) either in the UK or abroad

  • Study abroad opportunity (Trimester at partner universities in Europe, North America, and beyond)
