Program Overview

The International Business Management degree helps students stand out by providing an international perspective on business. It covers a wide range of business disciplines, equipping students with the skills and experience needed to thrive in the global business environment.

  • The program focuses on understanding the impact of cultural differences on business decisions and consumer behavior, with a compulsory year abroad for study or a combination of study and work-based learning abroad. Students will study accounting, economics, marketing, and business strategy, applying these concepts in a global context. They will develop skills in professional presentation, teamwork, leadership, communication, and problem-solving.

  • The degree prepares graduates for roles in strategic management, financial services, marketing, human resources, tourism, or global trade across public, private, or third-sector organizations.

 

 

 

 

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • For the International Business Management programme, a full academic year of study abroad in Year 3 is compulsory. This offers an exciting opportunity to live in another country and gain valuable insight into conducting business across borders.
  • All placement and study abroad opportunities are subject to UK and Scottish Government health and travel guidance.
  • In Year 4, students will complete a dissertation.
