Program Overview

The BA (Hons) Business Management and Sustainability at Nottingham Trent University equips students with the knowledge to lead ethical and sustainable change across industries. Combining core business principles with cutting-edge sustainability practices, students explore how businesses can be a force for good—balancing profit with people and the planet. Topics such as human rights, diversity, wellbeing, and climate action are embedded throughout the curriculum, alongside real-world projects and placements.   • Year 1: Foundations of Managing and Organising, Accounting and Finance for Managers, Economics and Data Analysis for Managers, Principles of Marketing, Essentials of Business Development, Personal and Academic Development

  • Year 2: Core modules: Sustainable Logistics and Transport, Carbon and Energy Management, Sustainable Business in Practice Optional pathways: One optional module from:Exploring Strategy and Innovation, People, Organisations and Society, Marketing Management, Continue with taught modules (Sandwich course only): Applied Professional Development, Project Management, Enterprise Project, Internship, Study Abroad

  • Placement Year (Optional): Minimum 48-week placement. If chosen, this replaces study abroad/internship/enterprise options; If you choose to do a placement year, you'll pay a reduced fee for that year of £1,850

  • Final Year: Core modules: Developing Professional Impact, Contemporary Issues in Sustainable Business, Innovation and Transformation, International Tourism: Sustainability, Development and Impact. One optional module from: Sustainability Impact Project, Applied Business Research Project. One optional module from: Comparative and International Management, Strategic Marketing and Brand Management, Managing Creativity, Design and Innovation
