In Year 2, NTU offers flexible pathways and hands-on learning experiences through NLS Legal, the UK’s only on-campus teaching law firm, along with partnerships like Support Through Court.
  • This program skillfully combines traditional legal studies with options from Nottingham Business School, ensuring students build a solid interdisciplinary foundation while staying on track for solicitor or barrister qualifications.

Course overview:

  • Year 1: Law in Action, Contract Law, Torts, Public Law, Comparative Law, Legal Environment, and Study Skills

  • Year 2 (Pathway 1): Criminal Law, Land Law, Trusts, Commercial Law, Applied Legal Knowledge (Civil Practice), with optional modules in Employment, Human Rights, or Family Law

  • Year 2 (Pathway 2): Core modules plus either an international study exchange, a work placement, or business modules like Strategy, Finance, and Digital Entrepreneurship

  • Final Year: One core legal practice module plus five electives from Company Law, Intellectual Property, Trade Law, etc., including two options from Nottingham Business School
