The BSc (Hons) Chemistry with Management at the University of Bath offers a unique opportunity to combine a robust education in chemistry with essential business and management skills.

  • This interdisciplinary program is designed for students who wish to understand the scientific principles of chemistry while gaining insights into the business environment.
  • Approximately a quarter of the course credits are dedicated to management topics, delivered by the School of Management. This integration ensures that graduates are well-prepared for careers that bridge scientific and managerial roles.

Students will benefit from access to state-of-the-art facilities, including well-equipped undergraduate teaching laboratories and world-class characterization tools like NMR, mass spectrometry, diffraction, microscopy, and chromatography.​

Couse Structure

  • Year 1: Core units in chemistry, providing a solid foundation and the flexibility to switch courses if desired.

  • Year 2: Advanced chemistry topics alongside management units, allowing students to tailor their studies to specific interests.

  • Year 3: Specialization through optional chemistry and management units, culminating in a project that may contribute to ongoing research.​

This course is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC). This accreditation confirms that the degree meets high standards in teaching, curriculum design, and professional development, and it provides a pathway to becoming a Chartered Chemist (CChem) after graduation.
