Program Overview

This dynamic four-year course is designed to develop students’ capabilities in international business and professional fluency in French, preparing them for global careers.

  • Years 1 & 2: Explore key areas of international management—such as finance, operations, marketing, and organisational behaviour—while building high-level proficiency in French, along with knowledge of French history, society, and politics.

  • Year 3: Take part in a 12-month placement abroad in a French-speaking country. Options include:

    • An academic exchange

    • A professional work placement

    • A combination of both (depending on visa eligibility)

  • Final Year: Deepen expertise in chosen areas of management and language, with flexibility to tailor the curriculum to suit specific career aspirations.

Delivered jointly by the School of Management and the Department of Politics, Languages & International Studies, it blends in-depth business education with advanced language study and intercultural understanding.

  • This interdisciplinary program helps students develop analytical thinking, cross-cultural communication, and leadership skills—highly valued by global employers.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Study or Work Abroad: A compulsory 12-month placement in a French-speaking country helps students gain hands-on experience in international settings and boosts employability.

  • Practical Business Learning: Students apply management theory in real-world settings, especially during their international placements.
