Program Overview

The BA (Hons) Business Economics at the University of Greenwich focuses on applying economics to real-world business and policy challenges. Students explore themes such as sustainable prosperity, equitable employment, and transitioning to a carbon-neutral economy. The curriculum encourages critical thinking and practical analysis, with the option to tailor studies in ESG (environmental, social, governance) or public policy after the first year. Course overview:

Year 1: Business Ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility, History of Economic Thought, and Introductory Econometrics

Year 2: Applied Econometrics, Banking and Finance in a Global Context I & II, and Climate Change and Investing, , along with optional modules

Year 3: Applied Economics and Finance Project, and Managerial Economics: Theory and Practice, along with optional modules

Optional Sandwich Year: Paid placement between Year 2 and Year 3

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

Optional sandwich placement (9–12 months, paid): Past employers include Disney, NHS, and Nomura
