Program Overview

The BA (Hons) International Business with Language at the University of Greenwich prepares students for dynamic careers in global markets by integrating core business knowledge with linguistic and cultural fluency.

  • Students study international business strategies, trade, law, and ethics while learning a modern language—French, Italian, Mandarin, or Spanish—tailored to beginner, intermediate, or advanced levels. No prior language knowledge is required to start.

Students benefit from a globally oriented curriculum and can choose a three-year route or a four-year sandwich pathway that includes a professional placement year. A study abroad opportunity via the Turing Scheme in the second year offers additional international exposure.

Course overview:

  • Year 1: Personal and Professional Development, International Business Functions, International Business Environment, Fundamentals of International Business Analytics, along with optional modules

  • Year 2: Cross-cultural Management, Business Ethics, Managing Global Business Networks, Operating in Emerging Markets, along with optional modules

  • Year 3: Consultancy Project, International Management and Organisational Functions, Internationalisation, Technology & Governments, Big Data and Business Analytics 

  • Optional Placement Year

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • Turing Scheme Exchange: Study abroad opportunity in Year 2 with funding support

  • Live Projects: Business consulting for global market entry and international strategy

  • Internships: Short placements (5 days to 6 months) with a Certificate of Industrial Studies

  • Optional Placement Year: Up to 12 months of paid work in international organisations (e.g., JP Morgan, PwC)

Progression & Future Opportunities
