3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
If you’re aiming for a career in global business but also want the edge of speaking another language fluently, this programme is designed for you. At Reading, you’ll combine international business and management with the study of French, German, Italian, or Spanish — giving you the skills and cultural awareness employers love.
Curriculum Structure
Year 1
Your first year sets the stage. You’ll get a strong foundation in business with modules like Business in Practice: Markets, Marketing and Management, Accounting for Managers, and Data Analytics. Alongside this, you’ll start your chosen language at the right level for you, whether beginner or advanced, plus a culture module like Ideas of Frenchness or Making Modern Spain and Latin America. This mix means you’re learning business and culture side-by-side from the very start.
Year 2
In your second year, you’ll move beyond the basics into more applied areas. For example, in Social Responsibility in Action you’ll work on real projects that tackle issues businesses face today. You’ll also expand your knowledge with optional modules in areas like international HR or cross-cultural marketing, while continuing to build confidence in your chosen language and exploring its culture at a deeper level.
Year 3
By your final year, it all comes together. You’ll take advanced modules in areas such as International Corporate Strategy and Comparative International Management, while also polishing your language and cultural expertise. Depending on the pathway you choose, you can also spend time studying or working abroad, giving you first-hand experience of global business and life in your chosen language’s region.
Focus Areas
Modern Languages, International Business Strategy, Cross-Cultural Management, Data Analytics, Accounting, Responsible Management, Global Corporate Strategy, Marketing in International Settings

Graduating from this programme means you’ll be equipped to manage in international contexts, fluent in a foreign language, and confident in analysing data, strategy, and management challenges.
