The University of NorthamptonThe Commerce and International Business Top-up program provides an opportunity for you to advance your studies in business and management and acquire the necessary skills to start your own business. This program prepares you for a variety of career opportunities in multiple sectors, ranging from import/export trading organizations to financial services, information technology, pharmaceuticals, and retail.
The program consists of four mandatory modules that are essential to its core knowledge and skills. International Trade and Commerce delve into the key concepts and tools needed to comprehend the forces that shape trade and influence trade policies. Academic Conventions and International Business enables you to develop proficiency in academic conventions in the field of Commerce & International Business, with emphasis on academic language use. Strategic Management Across Cultures equips you with the tools and techniques to manage business strategies that vary and may diverge across cultures. The Research Project allows you to demonstrate a comprehensive and critical understanding of your selected topic, focusing on current International business themes.
Applications are welcomed from students with a HND (Edexcel, ABE, NCC) or Foundation Degree in Business (or overseas equivalent). English Language Requirements All International and EU students applying for this course with us must meet the following minimum English language requirements: Minimum standard – IELTS 6.0 (or equivalent) with a minimum of 5.5 in all bands.
