Curriculum Structure

Year 1: Building Your Global Business Foundation

In your first year, you’ll get to grips with the basics of international business and start thinking like a global manager. Modules like International Business introduce you to key concepts in competitiveness and globalization, Managing Across Cultures helps you understand and navigate cultural differences in the workplace, and Strategy in Context shows how businesses develop and implement strategies in a changing world.

Year 2: Deepening Your Knowledge

The second year is all about exploring international business in more depth. Global Marketing teaches you how to adapt marketing strategies for different countries, International Trade and Investment explains the flow of goods, services, and money across borders, and Business Ethics and Sustainability challenges you to think about responsible business practices in a global context.

Year 3: Optional Placement Year

Between your second and final year, you can choose to take a placement year. This gives you hands-on experience in a real business environment, helping you build professional skills, network internationally, and enhance your employability after graduation.

Final Year

In your final year, you’ll focus on advanced topics and gain real professional skills. International Business Strategy allows you to bring everything you’ve learned together to plan and evaluate business strategies, while the Dissertation/Project gives you the chance to explore a topic that really excites you. Plus, the Professional Development module will help you polish your skills for the job market, from leadership to problem-solving.
