Law with Business and Management LLB

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Sussex

Program Overview

The University of Sussex offers the Law with Business and Management LLB (Hons), a dynamic and professionally focused degree that combines the study of English law with in-depth knowledge of the business world. This qualifying law degree not only prepares students for a legal career but also enhances their understanding of the commercial and managerial context in which law operates.

Taught by research-active faculty and industry experts, the course balances academic rigour with real-world application. Students explore core areas of law alongside key business topics such as strategy, finance, and organisational behaviour. This multidisciplinary approach equips graduates with the skills and knowledge to succeed in both legal and business careers.

The University fosters a vibrant learning environment with an active student law community. Practical experience is a key element of the programme, with opportunities to engage in the Sussex Law Clinics, where students can apply their legal knowledge to real cases under supervision. Additionally, strong links with leading law firms enhance the student experience through workshops, networking events, and sponsorship of national competitions in mooting, client interviewing, and advocacy.

The degree meets the academic requirements for further legal training, satisfying the conditions set by both the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) and the Bar Standards Board (BSB). Graduates wishing to qualify as solicitors can go on to take the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE).

Combining rigorous legal education with business insight, the Law with Business and Management LLB at Sussex prepares students for diverse and impactful careers in law, business, and beyond.
