4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program
Program Overview
This four‑year version of the BSc Management (Marketing) mirrors the three-year course during the first two years, then adds a paid industrial or professional placement year before your final year—perfect if you're eager to gain real‑world marketing experience. It’s ideal for students looking to apply strategic marketing, brand and consumer insight, and integrated communications in top firms alongside academic study, culminating in a marketing‑specialist degree upon graduation.
Curriculum structure
Year 1
You begin with a shared first year across the Management degrees, covering the fundamentals of business. Core areas include accounting and finance, quantitative methods, economics, organisational behaviour, sociology and psychology. You’ll also be introduced to foundational management theory and have the option to explore different disciplines before narrowing your focus.
Year 2
In the second year, you start to tailor your learning by selecting at least 40 credits of marketing-related units. These may include Consumer Behaviour, Brand Management, Market Research or Integrated Marketing Communications. You’ll deepen your understanding of marketing principles while maintaining flexibility to explore other areas of management such as operations or human resources.
Year 3 (Placement Year)
This is your opportunity to put theory into practice. You’ll spend a full year on a paid industrial or professional placement with support from the University’s dedicated placement team. Many students secure roles in major corporations or marketing firms, gaining real-world experience that often leads to graduate job offers.
Year 4 (Final Year)
Returning from placement, your final year is focused on advanced marketing knowledge. You must take at least 60 credits from specialist marketing modules such as Marketing Strategy, Retail Marketing, Services Marketing Management, or choose a Consultancy Project or Dissertation. This year ties together everything you’ve learned and prepares you for graduate-level roles in marketing or management.
