Program Overview

During your first year, you will learn how to develop your own unique style of animation while also gaining an understanding of film language, storytelling, and the technical processes involved in animation. You will also study the evolution of animation and experiment with various graphic media.

In your second year, you will continue to advance your animation skills and start to focus on specific areas of interest. This year will allow you to further improve your problem-solving abilities and technical expertise. Additionally, you will take a Digital Cultures module that covers various concepts related to cultural and aesthetic theories of moving images.

During your final year, you will refine your skills to a professional level and prepare for a career in the animation industry. This will involve identifying potential career paths and creating a graduation showreel, portfolio, and promotional materials. You will also write a contextual studies dissertation that relates to your practical areas of interest.
