Program Overview

This exciting Joint Education Programme, brought to you by the University of Dundee and Northeastern University and officially approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education, gives you the unique opportunity to study in both China and Dundee.

  • For the first three years, you'll immerse yourself in your studies in China, with some of your classes taught by staff from Dundee, before finishing your final year in Dundee itself.
  • Throughout the programme, you'll dive into applying engineering principles to tackle real-world medical and biological challenges, featuring essential coursework and hands-on research training.
  • You'll gain invaluable experience in hospitals, seamlessly blending the clinical and surgical sides of medical imaging.

You will graduate with degrees from both universities.

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

  • You will undertake a project in your final year
  • By establishing solid connections between hospitals, industry, and translational medical research, you'll acquire invaluable hands-on experience in a real hospital setting. The program dives into both the clinical and surgical sides of medical imaging.

After earning degrees from both Northeastern University and the University of Dundee, you'll be ready to dive into various medical fields, clinical settings, or professional biomedical research programs.

  • Pursue a career in medical device development, clinical engineering, biomechanics, biomaterials, rehabilitation engineering, or pharmaceutical technology.
