Program Overview

Are you employed in electrical engineering or electrical installation Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding Whether you've just completed your apprenticeship or you already have a number of years' experience under your toolbelt, this programme may have something to offer you. Offered to employees at the request of employers, you may already have strong support to pursue these studies.The course, by Day Release, provides you with a programme of study in electrical engineering subjects to help you develop your skills and knowledge. The course is open to all who are interested and qualified to apply, however its focus is on building knowledge in electrical theory, systems and apparatus, particularly for those employed in such areas. On successful completion you will gain a HNC Electrical Engineering.

Additional Information & Requirements

One Higher at grade C or above in either: Physics; Technological Studies; or Higher Mathematics, PLUS Three or more National 5 passes at B or above including: Mathematics; Physics or Engineering; Science; or English,Standard Grades 1-2 or Intermediate 2 passes including: Mathematics; Physics or Technological Studies; or English,Alternatively, National Certificate Group Award in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering; successful completion of the first two years of the SECTT Electrical Installation Modern Apprenticeship; or successful completion of the first two years of the SECTT Adult Training Scheme,Prospective students without the standard entry requirements as listed above are encouraged to apply. In such a case, applicants would need to demonstrate ability to work at a rate and level associated with HNC studies
