We consistently invite industry collaborators and guest speakers from major companies such as BP, BAE, and Rolls-Royce. Government agency, non-profit organization, or medical facility – get ready to pursue thrilling opportunities as a graduate engineer. Our Mechanical Engineering courses have received accreditation from the Royal Aeronautical Society (RAES) via the UK regulatory body, the Engineering Council. Accreditation signifies that the degree satisfies the criteria defined by the Engineering Council in the UK's Standards for Professional Engineering Competence (UK-SPEC). A recognized degree will equip you with some or all of the essential knowledge, understanding, and skills needed for future registration as an Incorporated (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng). Our BEng courses fulfill the academic criteria for IEng, while our MEng courses satisfy the academic standards for CEng. Certain employers favor candidates with accredited degrees, and

Experiential Learning (Research, Projects, Internships etc.)

The MEng (Hons) Mechanical Engineering course at Queen Mary University of London provides a thorough experiential learning structure that combines theoretical expertise with hands-on engineering capabilities.

Industrial Experience: Students can participate in a Year in Industry, acquiring practical experience in a role related to mechanical engineering. This year, usually undertaken after the second or third year, is financed by the company and offers valuable perspectives on practical engineering methods.

Project-Based Learning: During the course, learners participate in project-based learning, integrating engineering principles with hands-on projects. This method enables students to excel at addressing practical, open-ended challenges, improving their problem-solving abilities and developing them into better engineers.

Industry Collaborations: The program is influenced by an Industrial Advisory Board made up of firms such as Jaguar Land Rover and Pfizer. These collaborations guarantee that the curriculum matches industry requirements and offer students chances for placements and internships.

Module Delivery: Every module includes a mix of lectures, tutorials, lab sessions, industry visits, workshops, and collaborative work. This varied instructional approach guarantees that learners acquire both academic understanding and hands-on experience.
