The BEng Engineering (Mechanical) course at the University of Aberdeen provides a strong experiential learning structure that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on engineering abilities. 

Project-Based Learning: During the course, participants work on practical projects that utilize theoretical concepts to address real-life engineering issues. This encompasses classes in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), electronics design, and engineering mechanics, enhancing problem-solving and teamwork abilities. 

Internships and Placements: The university’s Careers and Employability Service offers opportunities for various internships and placements, available as part-time during the school year and full-time during break periods. These options, such as the compensated ABDN Internships, enable students to acquire essential industry experience and utilize their abilities in professional environments. 

Industry Partnership: The School of Engineering works alongside industry partners to provide summer internships and practical learning experiences. These experiences aid students in cultivating commercial awareness and getting ready for careers in engineering.
