BEng Hons Mechanical Engineering including an Integrated Study Abroad Year

3 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Nottingham

Program Overview

Are you interested in advancing engineering to tackle intricate challenges and enhance the sustainability and effectiveness of our world? This course offers you a chance to integrate your proactive approach, numerical abilities, and in-depth understanding of the subject to enhance modern industry for everyone's benefit.

Mechanical engineering is crucial in numerous sectors such as aerospace, manufacturing, healthcare, renewable energy, and Formula 1 racing. Indeed, there is scarcely anything in our everyday existence that isn't influenced by mechanical engineering advancements, from the vehicles we use to the methods our food is prepared.

In addition to instructed classes, you will have access to outstanding manufacturing research facilities, featuring robotics and 3D printing methods. You will likewise utilize your knowledge in both individual and group project contexts.

Mechanical and manufacturing engineering have a shared curriculum for the initial two years, during which you will study the basics of engineering science and design. During the third year, you will focus on specialized options in mechanical engineering.

Mechanical engineering is offered as either a BEng or an MEng program. If you opt for the BEng program, you might have the opportunity to switch to the MEng course at the end of your second year, provided your performance fulfills the requirements.

This is a three-year program, and you will have the chance to study abroad in your second year.
