Queen Mary University of LondonOur BA English and Film Studies programme demands creative, original thought. Literature and film ask us to question how class, race, ethnicity and sexuality are represented on the page and screen, and the impact of evolving language and technologies. Our joint degree programme introduces you to the history, theory and practice of cinema, and covers a wide range of literary texts and theories of reading. We teach you to apply critical theory and close textual and visual analysis to the realms of film and literature, and explore the connections between cinematic works and literary texts from many different regions and historical periods.
70% from CBSE/ISC, 65% from West Bengal Board, 75% from Other Boards in 12th Standard. A Levels: BBB including B or above in English Language, English Literature or English Language & Literature. IB: HL 30 points / 555 at Higher Level including 5 or above in HL English Language, HL English Literature or HL English Language & Literature. IELTS Academic: 7.0 overall including 6.5 in Writing, and 5.5 in Reading, Listening and Speaking.
