To understand how English literature and language have changed, developed and influenced cultures, you need to understand the historical context. What’s more, literary texts can provide important insights into life in earlier periods of history. Evidently, the combination of English and history is a natural one. Splitting your time between English and history, you’ll have the opportunity to pursue either an English literature or an English language pathway - or even take modules from both areas, studying a range of genres from literary fiction, journalism, theatre, film, everyday conversation, adverts, digital writing, to poetry and creative writing.
The typical A-Level offer is: AAB, IB: 34. Minimum percentage required (12 standard or HSC) 80%. IELTS 6.5 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 6.0 in each element.
