Our English and Film degree is characterised by the richness of literature and the study of film in its critical and creative context. You’ll explore both art forms individually, as well as examining the relationship between them.As part of your English modules, you’ll build your core skills in critical and creative thinking, equipping you with the tools you need to analyse a range of literary texts. You’ll also gain an appreciation of how literature reflects the social and historical contexts in which it was written.
50% (West Bengal), 55% (ISC, awarded by CISCE), 60% (CBSE), 65% (all other state boards) in XII Standard. IELTS 6.0 with no element below 5.5, A Level: 104-120 points with a Grade C in a Humanities subject. Film Studies or Media Studies preferred but not essential. General studies accepted, IB: 30-31 points
