University of Salford Background:
The University of Salford is a public university which was established in the year 1896 as The Royal Technical Institute, Salford. It became a College of Advanced Technology in 1956 and gained university status in 1967. The university is situated in Salford, Greater Manchester, England, in the west of Manchester city centre.

University of Salford Programs, Courses, and Schools:
The University of Salford offers numerous undergraduate and post-graduate courses to the students. Some of the courses are; Accounting and Finance, Advanced Clinical Practice, Biochemistry, Biomedical Science, Independent Learning Studies, Interior Architecture, Tourism Management, and many more. Along with these, the university also offers different language and foundation courses which are fully accredited English courses. 

University of Salford Campus:
The main campus is less than 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers) from Manchester city center on the banks of the River Irwell. The university has opened a learning, teaching and research space at MediaCityUK. With over 1,500 students will have opportunities to work near media professionals using the latest industry specified equipment, studios, and laboratories. The university also consists of a library which is located at 2 different sites; on campus and at MediaCityUK.  The main library offers technology-enabled study areas with a variety of attractive workspaces which allow our students the freedom to learn in ways that feel natural and comfortable. The university has the following affiliations; University Alliance, Association of Commonwealth Universities, North West Universities Association, and Northern Consortium.

University of Salford Achievements:
In the 2018 Guardian University League Tables, the University of Salford placed 99th, down from 83rd in 2017. The Times newspaper ranked Salford 105th out of 123 UK institutions in 2015, from 84th of 114 in 2010.

University of Salford USP:
The University of Salford provides scholarship opportunities to the students on the basis of academic excellence. The University currently has 35 sports clubs ranging from Football to Ultimate Frisbee. Each year, the University of Salford and Chester University takes part in a varsity challenge. Apart from all this, the university provides numerous facilities to the students like; accommodation facilities, cultural activities, musical festivals, and more.
