Program Overview

English is the study of genre, such as the novel, detective novel, political novel, historical novel, utopian fiction or Western; drama; short story; sermon traditions; African-American cultural forms, African-American folklore; long poem, lyric, philosophical poem and oral poetry.Introduces some of the major writers, issues and forms found in the history of American literature.Social policy is a theoretical and applied subject which draws on many different disciplines - such as history, sociology, anthropology, economics, law, psychology and politics - to improve our understanding of how different societies organise their resources to meet individual and social needs and how they measure progress in these areas.
