University of Strathclyde History

University of Strathclyde is a public research university based in Glasgow, Scotland. It was founded in the year 1796 as Andersonian Institute. The University received it's Royal Charter to become the University of Strathclyde and the first Technical University in the United Kingdom in 1964. University of Strathclyde is the second oldest Universities of Glasgow. The University though started small has now grown to be the third-largest University of Scotland with more than 20,000 students.

University of Strathclyde Campus

University of Strathclyde Campus is located in the heart of Glasgow's city center, Scotland. The campus is surrounded by supermarkets, high street stores, boutiques, restaurants, clubs, theatres, museums and many more. University of Strathclyde Campus has the IT room, library, Strathclyde sports, nursery, residential halls, food and drinks, clubs and societies, administrative and academic buildings, and may others. University of Strathclyde Library

University of Strathclyde Library is named the Anderson Library. The library has a collection of 1 million print volumes and a huge collections of e-books, databases and e-journals. University of Strathclyde collection is spread over five floors, that has a number of study spaces with wifi access where you can use your own laptop and if not there are also computers available in the library for use.There's also a cafe where you can grab lunch during the day, a small take-away coffee shop where you can have coffee to charge yourself up during the long study hours. There are small group study rooms, discussion areas, an Assistive Technologies room and Education Resources Centre for the students and faculties of the University.

On-campus:University of Strathclyde Housing services offers a variety of options for undergraduate, post-graduate, pre-sessional, exchange students, and returning students. The students have options like: standard room, standard room with wash basin, standard ensuite room to choose from. The facilities that are being offered by these accommodations are laundry, wifi, car parking and bicycle storage, Strathclyde sports, heating and lighting, and many others.

Student Safety in University of Strathclyde
