University of Strathclyde Student Societies are actively conducting various events in the university. The student clubs and organisations give the students an opportunity to learn different skills, plan and execute events and also widen their horizons. There are different clubs in the campus working towards different agendas. Their clubs and organizations cover a wide range of activities and interests, from academic societies, the arts, club sports and intramurals, to activity and event coordinators, and leadership programs. There are 150 clubs and societies in the University. The new Learning and Teaching Building offers a choice of sports clubs, societies, volunteering and job opportunities, advice and support, food and drink venues, spaces to socialise.

Step-by-Step Guide to Admission Requirements at University of Strathclyde

Applicants have to check whether they have the following documents while applying for post-graduate programs:

certified copies of qualifications you’ve gained, ex- degree certificate and transcripts (showing the subjects taken and your grades). If you’re still studying, provide a transcript of your results so far.

if your qualifications are in a language other than English, please provide official translations in addition to the copies of the original documents.

if English is not your first language, please provide a suitable English language test certificate (if appropriate), for example IELTS requirements are 6.5 overall.

a copy of your passport (if you are a non EU overseas applicant). Your passport is required in order to obtain your Certificate of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) statement which allows you to apply for your Tier 4 visa to study

a copy of your sponsor letter/scholarship award (if appropriate/available)

The first functional television in history was created by John Logie Baird. In 1924, a static image was broadcast as a result of his early attempts. By the end of his life, Baird had dabbled in a variety of technologies, such as infrared night vision, fiberoptics, radio direction finding, and video recording.

Law of Diffusion of Gases and invented a "dialyzer" to separate colloids and crystalloids.

Thomas Graham created a "dialyser" to separate colloids and crystalloids and developed the Law of Diffusion of Gases. His "dialyser" existed before the dialysis machine of today.
