Program Overview

This degree is all about bringing people and places together. By combining Intercultural Business Communication with Tourism Management, you’ll build the kind of skills that are highly valued in a world where cultural understanding and sustainable tourism are more important than ever.

Curriculum Structure

Year 1

You’ll start with the essentials—courses like Introduction to Intercultural Business Communication and Introduction to International Hospitality, Tourism & Events. These give you a solid grounding in how culture and tourism connect, while Global Tourism Distribution helps you see how destinations and experiences are marketed around the world.

Year 2

In your second year, you’ll get a deeper look at how culture shapes our lives and workplaces. Modules such as Exploring Culture and Intercultural Communication for the Global Workplace show you why cultural awareness is key in business, while Tourism Impacts and Sustainable Development gets you thinking about how tourism can—and should—be managed responsibly.

Year 3

Here’s where things get really exciting. You’ll explore topics like Migration, Mobilities and Intercultural Competence and International Tourism Policy and Planning, giving you a global perspective on movement and tourism strategy. Plus, you can choose to go on a work placement, study abroad, or take on a live project—real-world experiences that let you put your knowledge into action.

Year 4

In your final year, you’ll step up as a strategist and leader. Modules such as Leadership, Innovation and Technology for Tourism, Hospitality and Events and International Destination Marketing and Management prepare you for senior roles, while your dissertation lets you dive into a subject you’re passionate about—showcasing your expertise to future employers.
