The University of Greenwich offers the BA (Hons) Tourism Management, a programme designed to provide students with an in-depth understanding of the global tourism industry and its management practices. Please note that this programme is currently open only for direct Year 3 full-time entry. The course combines theoretical insights with practical applications, preparing students for leadership roles in tourism, hospitality, and related sectors.

  • Year 3: For those entering directly into the final year (as per the current entry point), the emphasis is on advanced and strategic learning. Modules may include international tourism management, strategic marketing, policy and planning, crisis management in tourism, and a dissertation or major project. This year equips students with the ability to analyse and address complex issues facing the tourism sector at both a national and international level.

Curriculum Structure:
The degree balances academic learning with practical application. Typical areas of study include:

  • Tourism Operations and Management: Understanding how tourism services and organisations are structured and managed.

  • Sustainable Tourism and Policy: Exploring environmental, cultural, and economic sustainability in global tourism.

  • Marketing and Consumer Behaviour: Learning how to attract, engage, and retain travellers in a competitive marketplace.
