BA Philosophy teaches you to dig deeper into ideas and challenge received wisdom. You rigorously examine the most fundamental questions about human life. At Essex, course take philosophy back to its roots in everyday existential, social, and political problems. Course embrace the relevance of philosophy to other forms of enquiry - political, cultural, legal, medical, aesthetic and bring this to bear on urgent issues in public life, such as the controversial issues raised by mental health legislation or public policy regarding end of life care.
Should have atleast A Level or equivalent(ABB, or the equivalent in UCAS tariff points, to include 2 full A Levels), BTEC qualification-MMP (in relevant subject), International Baccalaureate Diploma and Certificates,IB: 32 points or three Higher Level certificates with 655,QAA-approved Access to HE Diplomas, a minimum of two full A-levels and five GCSEs at grade C or above, including English, or equivalent, you'll be required to write a personal statement UCAS application, Certified copy of your complete list of grade, IELTS score of 6.0 overall , TOEFL (iBT) with 76 overall, with a minimum of 17 in listening, 18 in reading, 20 in speaking and 17 in writing, PTE 51 overall, with a minimum of 51 in each component, A score of 169 overall on the Cambridge English Scale, with a minimum of 162 in each component.
