If you have a passion for sport and want to work as a sports journalist, this is the degree for you. You will be taught the practical skills needed to record, film or edit for TV or radio. You will learn how to be truly multimedia literate, making the most of social media and designing your own website, as well as how to write for sports magazines or newspapers. The legal and regulatory side of the industry will be examined and you will reflect on the ethical considerations of sports coverage. News days form a central part of the course when you work to deadlines, filing sports copy or preparing for broadcast using industry standard equipment. You will also undertake a work placement within the sporting industry.
